Jon
I'm a graduate from the University of Hertfordshire, where I studied 3D Digital Animation which involved working on many personal projects as well as multiple group projects where I specialised in 3D Modelling.
I was involved in creating a short 3D film called 'Parcel Farce' as the Art Director, responsible for developing the look of the film whilst also modelling most of the assets and all of the characters. Parcel Farce premiered at the Herts Animation Expose in Hatfield, and was later entered into the Virgin Media shorts competition. The assets & Marketing posters were utilised in adverts for a joint campaign between AMD & Autodesk at SIGGRAPH & IBC 2013 as well as in magazines such as 3DArtist.
Since then I have been working as a 3D artist/generalist on many Architectural projects at River Film for many years. I worked my way up the company to become a senior artist, managing projects from across the world with multiple images for big clients such as Extell & iconic buildings such as the Empire State Building or 70 St. Mary Axe as featured on the apprentice.
Below are just a few of the projects I had a hand in:
- 330 West 42nd Street - Initial Look-Dev & Storyboarding/Camera placement, Model cleanup, lighting, rendering
- Al Gurm - Procedural techniques for vegetation, Modelling
- SPP Water Street Tampa - Compositing multiple images, Modelling large environmental areas, People cutouts from DLSR photography & accurate light-matching
- CGi Stills - Modelling, lighting, rendering, compositing on multiple stills from this page
